Makay & Michael. I cannot say enough things about how special this bride is. (I'm sure Michael in not too shabby himself but I worked side by side with Makay so I'm a little partial :) From our first conversation together, I thought, I have to work with her! Not only is her family local to Breckenridge but she is also the sweetest person ever! So happy she chose us to help her plan her Breckenridge Wedding!
There is a 'typical' order that goes into wedding planning. Get engaged and then start planning. Rarely do we deviate from this. Well with Makay, because she is a Breckenridge local, she knew how intense the wedding scene is here. The top wedding venues typically get booked out well in advance. So if Makay wanted to get married that following summer, she had to act fast! So we started wedding planning! It was so fun and I couldn't wait for the day that I heard "Ebs, we are engaged" So fun!
Because we were working with a great wedding timeline checklist, we had our choice of wedding vendors. When Makay mentioned a secret garden of sorts, I knew we had to have Erin Ashley Designs as our florist. She is just so talented and I knew she could take our floral vision to such an amazing space. She took the ideas we had and just elevated them to the wedding photos you see below. Raising Cain was brought on as an amazing wedding band. And they rocked it in that completely separate dancing tent provided by Colorado Tents and Events. The wedding tent gave their guests so much room to really spread out and dance. It was perfect. And check out the photos below of Makay's 'Father/Daughter' dance. It was fully choreographed and involved the whole family. It was amazing!! I cannot get enough of this family and these photos! And stop it with that wedding cake! My girl did it again. Katy Pierson Cake. I continue to be amazed by her talent every time we work together. Wedding photography was courteous of Jeremy Kelly Studios. He really captured the day!
Five stars doesn't even seem to be enough to rate the experience that I had with Ebs (Elizabeth) at Distinctive Mountain Events. I chose her full service wedding planning service and it was perhaps the best money spent within the wedding budget! She is organized, creative, and an absolute joy to work with- I started getting sad a month before the wedding because I knew I was going to miss our phone conversations when it was all over! Her expertise in the mountain wedding industry really does make a difference- especially when navigating ever-changing mask mandates. Every vendor I talked to was so excited and grateful that I was working with Ebs and that goes a long way! So many of my guests commented that it was the best wedding that they had been to and I credit that to both the mountains and Ebs, but mostly Ebs. I'm forever grateful! If you're questioning pulling the trigger for her services, do it! At the VERY LEAST for month out/coordinating! ~Makay (Bride)
