There are no words to fully describe the gratitude, appreciation and admiration I have for Ebs, but I do know that hiring her was by far the best decision in our entire wedding planning journey. From the very first phone call, it was clear we were in great hands. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about so many things, but also warm and friendly, which made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process. Every question we had—no matter how big or small—was met with patience and thorough answers, and trust me, we had a million questions. Our wedding day truly felt like a dream come true, and we owe so much of that to Ebs’s unwavering dedication. She took the time to understand our vision and then brought it to life, and it was even more than we hoped for. Ebs recommended multiple options for all of our vendors, and we chose her recommendations and they were perfect matches for us. You can genuinely feel how much she loves her job and her clients, and many of our vendors echoed this sentiment. Our lives were unexpectedly turned upside-down three weeks before our wedding and I had 100% confidence and trust in Ebs to handle everything while I stepped away to be with family. She handled that situation with such grace and compassion, making sure all of our last minute changes and requests were met. On our wedding day, we felt completely at ease knowing that she was in control. I’m as “type A“ as they get, and although I’m typically perpetually stressed out, I was SO uncharacteristically chill on my wedding day, which I believe is because I knew we had Ebs on our side. In the end our day was flawless, and we couldn't have done it without her expertise and support. I often joke that—without Ebs—I would have cried a hundred times during planning and probably would have eloped! She made this entire journey not only manageable but truly enjoyable, to the point where I wish I could do it all over again. Some couples leave a mark on your heart from the very first moment you meet them, and Annika and Luke were exactly that kind of couple. From the start, Annika knew that when the day came, she wanted to work with Distinctive Mountain Events. That trust was one of the sweetest gifts a planner can receive, and we were so honored to be part of their journey.

Planning with Annika and Luke was joyful and full of laughter, until life threw them an unexpected challenge just weeks before their wedding. They needed a celebration that reflected their hearts, but didn’t have the capacity to make any more decisions or keep any details straight. That’s where having wedding planner comes in: to help couples create the wedding they’ve always dreamed of, no matter what.

On the day of the wedding, as the wedding party walked down the aisle, the sky opened up and it started to rain, perfectly timed, and exactly what Annika had secretly hoped for. She had always said she wanted it to rain on her wedding day, and seeing it happen brought her so much joy. Together, we embraced the moment and let the celebration unfold beautifully, and how it was supposed to, in every detail. (Also, I'm still in shock that one can be rained, poured on, and still look as amazing as Annika did :)

Together, we brought their vision to life. Colorado Tents and Events set up a gorgeous tent, Divine Beauty made sure everyone looked radiant, and Lace and Lilies filled the space with florals that were romantic, warm, and perfect for the day. Every moment was captured by Basecamp Visual, and the cake by The Cake Maker was as beautiful as it was delicious. Music played a central role in their celebration, the officiant, who was also the best man, led the ceremony accompanied by Elope Music, followed by a lively cocktail hour, and a reception full of dancing with Discosapien keeping everyone moving.

Even with the challenges they faced, the day was filled with joy, love, and connection. Annika and Luke’s wedding was a testament to resilience, to trusting the people around you, and to celebrating the moments that truly matter. Every detail, every smile, and every shared laugh made the day exactly what they had imagined...and then some.

Working with Annika and Luke reminded us why we do what we do: helping couples bring their dreams to life, even when life doesn’t go exactly as planned. Luke's heartfelt thank you to me at the end of the night was - simply put - the reason I do this. Their love, strength, and warmth made this day unforgettable.
