Erin & Bill. Oh man, Erin and Bill. If I could write a letter to ensure perfect weather for every single one of my weddings, I would. I hope and pray every week that the rain and thunderstorms come in on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and are finished for the weekend. I would give my left pinkie to have great weather at every wedding! The reality is, here in Colorado iffy weather can roll in at any moment during the day. It can be nice and sunny one moment and raining the next. As luck would have it, right when Erin and Bill were scheduled to load the gondola in Keystone, Colorado for their wedding up two gondolas, the gondolas shut down and they couldn't load. I had thought ahead and sent my assistant up with the DJ (The fabulous Jay at Standing Room Only) so I knew the room would be set up to perfection while I was able to wait with a very nervous wedding couple. The rain just kept coming. And coming. And coming. Ugh. As a wedding planner, you do everything in your power to make your clients happy. Weather, unfortunately we cannot control. As luck would have it, the lightening finally cleared and we were finally able to load the gondola. And you know what these two did? They danced in the rain. They skipped in the rain. They took photos in the rain. They were so sweet and happy. They just cared about what they came there to do. And that was to get married!
Erin and Bill were married at The Alpenglow Stube in Keystone, Colorado. They walked down the aisle to live music by John Wirt at Trading Post Duo. The gorgeous flowers were provided by Liz at Fleur de Liz. The day just turned out to be so happy and delightful despite the rough start. Everyone danced the night away and had such a blast.
