Lydia & Luke. I met Lydia because she was the front desk person at my dental office. Over the course of me coming in for my Invisalign we were able to chat a lot about her wedding. Not the most conventional way to meet a client but whatever! Ha! Lydia and her fiance Luke were getting married that summer at Arapahoe Basin at the Black Mountain Lodge. While ABasin provides a 'day of' coordinator (Meredith is awesome by the way) they needed a little more of a full service wedding planner. That's where we came in! Lydia and Luke had a lot of their wedding vendors booked but Lydia needed more assistance in the wedding design aspect. So much fun! We pulled in Erin at Erin Ashley Designs to carry out Lydia's wild flower vision. I think it went perfectly with everything going on at ABasin.
Lydia and Luke's wedding guests rode the chair lift to get to the venue. Once there I think every guests' jaw dropped when they realized the backdrop of the wedding would be a mountain that seemed to go straight up. Seeing the look on everyone's faces when they first see that view never gets old. :) After the ceremony guests hung out on the deck for cocktail hour then were asked inside for dinner. Courtney Hampton at Hampton Entertainment kept everyone dancing all night long. One of my favorite parts of the night came when Lydia surprised her dad with a song that his mom, Lydia's grandmother, sang. There was not a dry eye in the house! It was soooo touching. The night was perfect and Lydia and Luke had a blast with their guests!
